New Games at the library

International Game Day

November 19

10-12

Come and play games with us.  Bring your favorites and your friends.  Try some of these brand new, never been played before games.

TROPHY BUCK Dice Game

This game was donated to the library – come and try it out.

Trophy Buck ihpim5686s a fast-moving game about deer hunting. The 12 custom dice represent deer. Push your luck to bag the most points, but stop rolling before too many “startles” end your turn! Will you bring home a trophy, or will you just be looking at tracks?

3 to 8 can play. Each game takes 10 to 20 minutes, and can be taught in a single round. It comes in a durable camo bag – great to take on camping or hunting trips.

Another new donated game!
CHUPACABRA – Can you survive the night?

Chupacabra Die Night falls, and the bloodsucking Chupacabra stalks its prey. Its red eyes mean doom . . .

Divide up the 24 glow-in-the dark dice. When you roll a Chupacabra, you can take dice from your opponents – but they can do the same to you. Claim all the dice, and be the only one to survive the night!

Two to four players can play. Each game takes just 10 to 20 minutes and can be taught in a single round.

Don’t be afraid of these snakes!

How to Play
In this simple, elegant card game, players match colors and and make snakes from heads to tails. Long snakes, short snakes, purple, yellow and rainbow snakes. Finish a snake and add it to your snake pit. The player with the most snakes at the end of the game wins.

As each Hisss snake slithers its way across the playing area it introduces color identification and visual logic: Does it make sense to have a snake with two tails and no head? Are those two colors the same or not? Even elementary counting skills come into play during scoring at the end of the game.
