Solar Eclipse Program

Why do eclipses occur? Why are solar eclipses so rare? What is so special
about the corona of the sun? What is an Alven wave? Learn the answers to all
these question and view images of past solar eclipses. This is the place to ask
any question about the upcoming eclipse on Aug. 21.
Daniel Seeley has a BS Physics from MIT and PhD Physics and Astronomy
from Boston University He has formerly taught Physics and Astronomy at
Framingham High School, MA and has worked at the National Solar
Observatory at Sunspot, NM on Sacremento Peak, elev 9200 ft and detected
Alven waves in the Corona for the first time.
