The Arvin A. Brown Public Library is pleased to host a reception for the Richford Missisquoi Valley Student Artist Group on Saturday October 18 from 11 am to 1 pm. The work on exhibit will be studies in charcoal. Class was held for 3 weeks during the summer at the Richford Baptist Church, led by Della Warner. The classes covered basic drawing techniques working with light and dark, shadow and light.
Ms. Warner is a resident of Abercorn QC, and spends time in Richford volunteering at the Community Center and the school. She has a Certificate of Fine Art from Bishop’s College. “I really enjoy working with people with art. It brings me joy. It was great fun to work with the children, seeing the apple the way they saw it as they drew it for our first project”, said Ms Warner. She also leads an art class for seniors on Tuesdays at the Community Center in Richford Junior Senior High School.
